America's Listening Puts Artificial Intelligence in the Guest Chair

NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 5, 2026 — With so much talk about elections, America's Listening is asking a question on many Americans' minds: "" This time, the answer comes from an unusual guest: artificial intelligence.

While politicians, pundits, and television personalities compete to be heard, this independently produced television program takes a different approach. It's listening.

Hosted by Louisiana native Kerry Lauricella, America's Listening gives everyday Americans a platform to tell their stories without a host telling them what to think.

"I'm not a polished speaker… and certainly not America's Speaker… but I'd like to be America's Listener," says Lauricella. He asks questions, and his guests do the talking.

Early guests include Louisiana commercial shrimper "Mr. Jug," New Orleans chef Duke LoCicero, world champion duck carver Jett Brunet, and Ducks Unlimited fundraiser Mike Benge.

In an episode recorded November 2, 2026, Lauricella interviews "Charlie," an AI guest appearing on the studio's large video screen—the "Window into America."

Their conversation asks whether AI leaders can regulate themselves, what a 16-year-old should prepare for, whether AI can be trusted not to harm humans, and whether an AI created in America would be American. Lauricella even asks: "Are you the Antichrist?"

Charlie's responses are prerecorded AI-generated videos, presented as a conversation between a human host and an artificial intelligence guest.
